PERFORMANCE BY 3

Performance by 3 is an Australian based multi-sport squad coached by Nationally accredited Level 2 coach Chris Hanrahan, and caters for all athletes. Chris has been involved in endurance sport as a competitor and coach for over 12 years. During that time he has worked with some of the best coaches within Australia and recognises the importance of continual learning. Chris’ philosophy is that results come first and foremost from hard work, careful planning and commitment from all parties. Combine this with consistent feedback and technical advice and the results will simply follow.

Chris has a proven track record with athletes at all levels from professionals down to the person entering their first triathlon, Whether you want to go to the world champs in Kona, or just complete your first sprint distance triathlon, the training principles are still the same.

SWIMMING

Swimming is a highly technical sport paying dividends to those who apply their strength and fitness correctly. Whether you’re learning to swim, using it for active recovery, or seeking to make it a more dominant part of your racing arsenal, PB3 can help you with squad sessions that get the best from the limited time you spend in the pool.

BIKING

Performance by 3 coordinates a variety of rides each week catering for all riders, which include skills based sessions in Centennial Park, medium intensity rides in surrounding suburbs including La Perouse and Watsons Bay, TT specific race pace sessions, and longer duration rides on weekends including Waterfall via Sutherland and Akuna Bay via Manly.

RUNNING

Done right, running is one of the simplest most pure and rewarding sports that you can do. Whether you want to shift a couple of kilos or you are heading to your favourite distance race, the basics and fundamentals remain the same regardless of your level and once they are mastered you are set to enjoy pain free, faster running for years to come.

PASSIONATE COACHING FOR ANYBODY

Under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Hanrahan, pro triathlete Chris Kemp was, in 2013, crowned both the Asia-Pacific 70.3 Champion and Australian 70.3 Champion. In 2014 he made a successful tilt on Ironman racing, finishing 8th at Ironman Melbourne in a time of 8:14 in a hugely competitive field.

Every season, our athletes from all over the World continue to enjoy incredible success, qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, the 70.3 World Championships, ITU Worlds, and the Xterra Worlds plus many more stand alone events like the Boston and New York marathons!

Our coaching philosophy incorporates a blend of science with proven methods that are shown to work. All facets are covered in programming, including power and heart rate training, nutrition advice, bike fitting, running gait analysis as well as priority access to affiliated physios and massage and discounts on essential training and racing gear.
